After completing this training, the participant will be able to check and use dependent respiratory protection equipment in a safe and responsible manner during work. Furthermore, the participant will have general knowledge on the function of respiratory protection equipment and the effects on the human body. This training is provided in accordance with NEN-EN529; recommendations on selection, use, care and maintenance.
Optionally, the performance of an individual quantitative face fit test is one of the possibilities.
This training is intended for employees that due to their position use dependent respiratory protection equipment in the course of the execution of their work.

Face fit test (optional):
The term “fit test” is a growing phenomenon within organizations and is more and more frequently the topic of discussions. The face fit test is described in NEN-EN529. In some countries (Australia, Canada, United States of America and Great Britain), it is even mandatory to subject employees to a fit test. In short, a fit test is a method to determine whether a mask has the correct attachment to an individual user. In the course of a quantitative test, the amount of particles inside and outside of the mask is measured with the use of a special apparatus, with which a quantitative fit factor (leakage percentage) can be determined.
appr. 3 hours (theory and practice) plus – optional for the face fit test – 20 minutes per participant per mask.

Minimum age of 18 years.
The participant must be cleanly shaven (no beard or facial hair growth) and furthermore must be in good physical condition.
After they have shown their suitability, the participants of this training course will receive a certificate with a period of validity of 5 years.
Furthermore, during the performance of a face fit test, an individual face fit test report is issued.
The frequency for the following of a refresher course has been set to once every 5 years. The participant will be invited in a timely fashion for a refresher course.
