Face fit tester/performing face fit tests
During the 1-day face-fitster training course, quantitative testing is treated using the PortaCount. Besides the necessary theory, there is plenty of room for performing face-fit testing in practice. Remedying faults that may occur during face-fit testing is also part of our training. The training is concluded with a digital theory exam, which the participant has to take at home - within 2 weeks after the end of the training.
In preparation for the face-fittester training Dräger recommends to follow the 1-day Introduction course in breath protection equipment. Adequate (prior) knowledge of the many kinds and types of respiratory protection products is essential when performing face-fit tests.
The Dräger Academy has been recognised by the Dutch Association for Safe & Healthy Working (VVGW) as a training institute for training to become a face fit tester. Dräger's face fit tester training prepares you for the VVGW exam face fit tester. If you wish to take the exam, you must apply for this exam yourself via the website of the CEC Institute.
Persons that are charged with the performance of face fit tests must be able to perform the tests in a reliable and valid manner and additionally comply with the selected test protocol and/or branch-specific regulations.
This training is intended for persons that periodically perform various types of face fit tests within companies and organizations and furthermore provide user instructions and advice.

- qualitative and quantitative fitness tests
- TPF, NPF and protection factor
- PortaCount and software operation

Practice:
- Preparations for fit tests of half-masks/full-face masks
- Preparations for the use of PortaCount and software
- Performance of a face fit test
- Evaluation of the measurement results
- Options in the event of a failed face fit test
For the purpose of performing face-to-face tests yourself, it is desirable for participants in this training to have a clean shave (at most 8 hours before the start of the training).

We work with a limited group size in order to achieve a teaching efficiency that is as high as possible and furthermore to have a sufficient amount of personal attention for the individual participants.
The course is concluded with a digital theory exam. After successfully completing the exam, the participant will receive a certificate and accompanying certificate badge with a validity of 5 years.
